The Battle's not Your's
Isaiah 40:28-31
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
It's amazing how far one wise word spoken can go in a person's life. I am thankful to Donna for speaking that word to me. I'll never forget that voice of soul and the bright colors she loved to wear. I thought of her as small but mighty in the Lord!

Laughter in the Rain
MY BRO N LAW AND HIS DAUGHTER

Gentle soul, gentle eyes
You were her other half
To my surprise
Everyone, was special to you
You were the laughter in the rain
How do we hide our pain?
Hearing your laughter no more
Where's the music we adore?
Humor was your middle name
You wasted no time making blame
A gentle soul, gentle eyes
Then you told us "good-bye"
You were the laughter in our rain
We simply cannot hide the pain
Of losing you, we can't deny
Missing you, these tears we cry.

Prayer for Truckers

I try to fight against these tears
Still the tears they come
I know you would not want me sad
I still want you home
Sometimes I think I hear you blow
That horn so loud and clear
Then I get that sinking in my heart
Realizing you are not here
With tear filled eyes I say a prayer
For those with more hills to climb
That the good Lord above would keep them safe
And get them home by their dinner time
In Loving Memory of Richard the best brother n law ever who left us in 2004
